I'm an Edinburgh-based social scientist that has spent the past 15 years or so working at the intersection of people and place.
A portfolio careerist with sustainability at the heart of all my work, my interests span across water, innovation, and the financing of nature stewardship.
An experienced strategist, project manager and comms leader, I work with a wide range of clients - everything from start-ups and small charities to farmer collectives and large public sector organisations - to help bring about transformative and practical change.

I manage and deliver complex nature-based projects, and help my clients engage diverse stakeholders, understand nature credit mechanisms, and develop practical and workable solutions. A natural communicator, I have strengths in building rapport and collaboration across diverse teams and organisational levels.
Key clients I work with are set out below, along with a precis of how I help them:
PWI is a small company with big ambitions. I act as project director and have led on the delivery of an innovative off grid water recycling system in Grenada, where PWI's black and grey water recycling system enables farmers to have a year-round source of irrigation water, as well as the installation of a pilot water & heat recovery unit at NHS Raigmore, where the system removes microplastics, reduces pharma, and recycles water.
This leading Edinburgh-based start up uses native fungi to enhance tree-planting success, and are now branching out into water treatment. I am working with Rhizocore to project manage the company's £1m Defra/Innovate UK grant to develop a fungi-based remediation solution to help absorb nutrient rich run off from agricultural fields, managing stakeholders and project partners including the Cheshire Wildlife Trust, James Hutton Institute and Harper Adams University.
West Dorset Wilding is a charity working with a large group of farmers to restore nature at scale. Their Defra-funded Landscape Recovery Project for the Brit Catchment involves 57 farmers. I act as a trusted advisor for the Exec Team: whether that be on their stakeholder comms strategy, assessing the natural capital potential from private finance, or being a sounding board for the leadership team to help them manage this highly complex and exciting project.
I have project managed several large scale projects with the LFL; key clients include the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, where I was responsible a wide-ranging scope of financing potential for the Park's FutureNature strategy, the Flow Country Green Finance Initiative where I helped bring about the creation of a new entity to manage large scale financing of peatland restoration, and leading on the Finance Work Package for the €23.6 million WaterLANDS project.
Marketing (I love Canva!), facilitating workshops, stakeholder management etc.
I'm an academic geek that likes people (a surprisingly rare beast!), I love to research. If you need in-depth interviews and active listening, along with rapid synthesis of dense information, I'm your person.
Bid writing, reporting, grant proposals, updates to funders etc
